In connection with April 22 "Earth Day", a tree-planting action was held in Mushfigabad settlement under the joint organization of the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources, the Azerbaijan Youth Fund and the Union of Voluntary Organizations of Azerbaijan.
During the event with the participation of more than 100 young volunteers, 500 different types of trees suitable for the soil and climate conditions of the Absheron peninsula were planted.
The purpose of the event, which promotes the restoration and expansion of green zones, is to increase environmental awareness, contribute to the fight against climate change, and encourage young people to actively participate in environmental protection.
It should be noted that "Earth Day" is celebrated every year in many countries of the world in order to draw attention to the solution of environmental problems, environmental protection and to raise awareness about solutions.
